CAT’s Housing Heroes

Join our Circle of Housing Heroes growing CAT into the strong tenant voice at the forefront of housing justice. Housing Heroes sustain CAT with monthly donations of $5 or more. Predictable revenue creates stability that positions CAT to achieve social change in Oregon.

Current Housing Heroes include a diverse group of housing activists,  justice advocates, attorneys, industry professionals, elected officials, and consultants, progressive homeowners and landlords – all with a vision for strengthening the housing justice and access to affordable housing for renters in Oregon.

Thank you for putting money in CAT’s monthly budget.

Examples of the difference your donation to CAT makes:

∞ $100 will sponsor a Membership Meeting for 40+ renters to learn about housing issues and build a strong base of mobilized tenant leaders. This includes providing culturally appropriate dinner, child care and supplies.

∞ $150 sends 15 low-income tenants to Salem for lobby and advocacy events. Tenants get to meet with their elected officials to share why tenant rights and housing should be prioritized.

∞ $300 provides wages for 12 weeks’ worth short-term work opportunities to build skills and references for a low-income tenant as internship. Low-income tenant interns receive gift card incentives for participating in job readiness activities at CAT such as data entry, building based organizing, presenting and preparing renters’ rights workshops, and healthy homes outreach.
