CAT Recruits Tenants for Strategic Planning Focus Groups

We at CAT are working on our next strategic plan. Strategic planning allows us to set priorities and goals for the next three years, including programs we want to expand on or create, services tenants need, and legislative advocacy for our members and tenants across the state.

The first step in deciding those priorities is hearing from tenants and members about what those priorities need to be. We will have several opportunities for tenants to participate and we are making it a priority to hear from tenants across different communities and geographies. Focus groups will be available in other languages, and every effort will be made to make each focus group accessible. Please let us know if you need any accommodation such as interpretation, translation, internet or phone access.

In order to create a space open for real dialogue, each focus group will consist of 15 tenants. These are tenant-only spaces and participation can be anonymous. Each tenant who participates will receive a $100 visa gift card as a thank you. Participants will also receive one year of free membership at CAT. Members receive priority call-backs on the Renters’ Rights Hotline.

All focus groups are virtual. If you will need technical assistance, please contact Ianda Allen at ianda@oregoncat.org,
